School is back in session and we have several students that are walking to and from the bus stops and to and from the school up the street. I have noticed many resident vehicles speeding through the entrance of Sandstone and down the street. Please be cautious for our pedestrians. It is important that no matter what the hurry may be it is not worth a terrible accident. I witnessed a young girl this morning trying to cross the street at the 4 way stop as cars were speeding through it to enter Greystone.
I have alerted The Sanford Police Department to start the patrols in the neighborhood to focus on the speeding problem along with the neglect of obeying the Stop Signs. This patrol will be concentrated in the mornings and afternoons for the safety of our young students.
A gate company will be meeting with me tomorrow at 10:00 AM to look at the repairs of the Sandstone Gate.
